Proactive Trust & Safety Lead - Investigations

Deep-dive investigations into Community Guidelines and Terms of Service violations on Snapchat, sitting in the Proactive Trust & Safety Operations team, which finds and acts on abuse before reports arrive. The work covers a range of abuse areas, including child sexual exploitation, across the company's visual messaging app and related products.

What you'd do

• Identify trends and patterns by analyzing internal and external sources, then propose safety solutions based on the findings.
• Conduct thorough, objective investigations into violations of Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
• Become a subject matter expert in several abuse areas, including sensitive content such as child sexual exploitation.
• Develop and deliver training for other Trust & Safety team members.
• Recommend tooling changes and build or improve processes for the team.
• Plan and support new product and workflow launches with Public Policy, Product, Legal and Engineering.
• Support ad hoc safety projects and flex in to help the wider Trust & Safety team as needed.

What it asks for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in technology, safety, or a related field.
• Experience investigating criminality or abuse, online or offline.
• Experience querying data with SQL to support investigations.
• Comfort working in a content moderation environment.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Grafana, or advanced Excel or Sheets.
• Has worked alongside product and engineering teams on tools that improve platform trust.
