Safety/Security Specialist (1-3 years experience)

This is a systems engineering role in physical security technology, supporting Visa's Electronic Security Systems (ESS) under the Security Systems Solutions Engineering team. The team plans, deploys and maintains these systems in line with Visa's logical security and cyber security practices.

What you'd do

• Act as the Application Technology Contact for Technical Security Assessments and support Cyber Security control compliance.
• Prepare design and engineering documentation for systems onboarding and other artifacts.
• Handle audit tasks such as checking user access and transfer reports and closing out exceptions.
• Help remediate compliance findings by changing software, scripts and technology to reduce risk.
• Triage critical incidents affecting ESS and its integrations, such as patch failures, driver errors and outages.
• Patch, update and program ESS hardware and software, and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Configure servers and data feeds such as SSH, SFTP, HTTP, SMB and certificates, and troubleshoot network connections to ESS hardware.

• One to three years in systems analysis, application support, IT operations or technical business analysis.
• Associate degree or certificate in a computing field.
• Working knowledge of program and release management and of deploying to production and non-production across several sites.
• Understanding of high-availability networking, load-balanced solutions, n-tier applications and common application protocols.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and patch management.
• Know CI/CD pipelines, branching models and test automation (preferred).
• Experience with ServiceNow for incident resolution and change management.
