Policy and program management for safety standards on Comments and Direct Messaging at TikTok, covering the highest-engagement interaction surfaces. The role drives policy execution from concept through implementation and works with Product and Engineering to turn policy into requirements for AI-first moderation and human review workflows.

What you'd do

  • Keep one authoritative record of policies, SOPs, and decisions across the pillar.
  • Own priority policy projects from problem framing through drafting, enforcement design, and launch.
  • Make independent calls on ambiguous cases and document the reasoning for regional and functional stakeholders.
  • Turn UK OSA and EU DSA duties into specific policy wording and enforcement updates.
  • Translate policy intent into model, tooling, and labelling requirements with Product, Engineering, and AI/ML.
  • Build the measurement layer for coverage, precision and recall, appeals, and user impact, and run root cause analysis on gaps.

What it asks for

  • Bachelor's in policy, law, business, computer science, or a similar field.
  • Five-plus years in policy ops, product policy, T&S, or program work at a tech or moderation company.
  • Working familiarity with spam, hate, harassment, misinformation, and abuse/exploitation policy areas.
  • Track record working with Product, Engineering, and AI/ML on policy-driven technical solutions, including AI-driven moderation tools.
  • Proficiency in Chinese and English, required for work with Mandarin-speaking markets.
  • Experience designing scalable processes and aligning cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with global legal, regulatory, and cultural complexity (preferred).
