Content moderation for social media apps, reviewing videos, news stories, pictures, political ads and profiles against a client's content policy. Work is scored for age-appropriateness, violence, sexual content and political transparency, with enforcement of the client's terms of use. Posting is for a bilingual Hungarian and English role at TaskUs, an outsourcing provider serving tech clients.

What you'd do

Review videos, news stories, still images, political ads and social media profiles on a computer each day.
Rate content on how suitable it is for young viewers, how violent it is, how sexual it is and whether political ads are transparent.
Apply the client's content policy and handling procedures consistently.
Identify subtle differences in meaning in digital communication to enforce terms of use.
Monitor user reports of abuse on the site and escalate changes that affect performance or KPIs.
Take part in wellness coaching, wellness groups, training and reporting initiatives.

What it asks for

One or more years of prior operations work in a shared services or customer experience setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Fluent reading, speaking and writing in English and Hungarian.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Empathy, plus awareness of the political and social context in the Hungarian market and region.

Worth knowing

Exposure to graphic and disturbing content, including child exploitation and abuse, animal torture, gang violence, murder and hate speech.
Employer may reassign moderators to other projects based on staffing needs or performance.
