Unitary

Unitary is a company that builds Virtual Agents, which are custom-built software workers that complete operational workflows across the tools a team already uses. The agents combine deterministic software for predictable tasks, AI reasoning where judgement is needed, and human oversight for exceptions. Unitary operates the service as a fully managed model, building, hosting and running each agent for the customer.

Unitary was founded by Sasha Haco and James Thewlis. The two met at Entrepreneur First in 2019. Haco is co-founder and CEO, and Thewlis is co-founder and Chief Scientist.

Unitary began by helping brands such as Trustpilot, Substack and Depop with content moderation. It has since extended its automation work to insurance and other industries.
