Context aware video moderation, read frame by frame.
About Unitary
Unitary builds and runs Virtual Agents, which are custom-built software workers that complete operational workflows across the tools a team already uses. Unitary builds each Virtual Agent, hosts it, and keeps it running, as a fully managed service. The homepage describes the Virtual Agents as designed for industries including insurance, financial services, healthcare and marketplaces.
The company began by helping brands like Trustpilot, Substack, and Depop tackle content moderation. Sasha Haco and James Thewlis founded Unitary after meeting at Entrepreneur First.

How it works
Unitary moderates video and images by understanding context rather than single frames: it combines visual, audio and text signals over time so it can tell a documentary clip about drugs from drug promotion, or a joke from harassment. You define your policy in natural language and Unitary returns decisions with reasons, at a scale meant to replace most human first pass review.
It's UK based and works with large video platforms and marketplaces. The company also maintains the open source Detoxify text models.
