How it works

Variance takes an alert your existing detection already raised and does the investigation on it. Its agents replicate the steps an analyst would take by hand: pulling the transaction, searching company registries, reading filings including scanned and non-English documents, cross-referencing sanctions lists, chasing an alias across the open web, and checking adverse media. They work first line through escalated review, then either close the alert or escalate it with what they found.

Every step is recorded with the source it came from, so what you get back is an evidence trail rather than a score. The company says its agents collect 90 percent of the evidence on a case and cut investigation cycles tenfold. It is built for institutions whose work is read by regulators and auditors, and it sells to Fortune 500s, marketplaces and regulated financial services.
