Why this level
Estimated from the posting rather than stated by the employer: the title reads as P3 · asks for 7+ years.
The role, in T&S terms
Written by the T&S Network from Alice's posting.
Manages a team of domain experts who classify cybersecurity prompts an AI system could not confidently label as benign or malicious. The team covers reverse engineering, malware research, and vulnerability research, with work split across Windows, Linux/macOS, and Android/iOS malware and security research. The role owns the quality of intent analysis for those prompts.
What you'd do
- Lead and manage Domain Experts on priorities, workload, and performance
- Route incoming rows to team domains and rebalance freelancer capacity as volume shifts
- Track agreement and disagreement rates, QA findings, and throughput, and report to the Group Manager
- Resolve escalated edge cases and prompts spanning several domains
- Work with the other Tech Lead when prompts cross into reverse engineering or malware fields
- Keep annotation guidelines consistent across domains and propose updates
- Jump in to annotate or review directly when the team is stuck
What it asks for
- 7+ years of hands-on work in reverse engineering, malware, or vulnerability research, with deep skill in at least one
- Working knowledge across all team domains to assess and coach Domain Experts
- Solid grasp of the other team's fields, including malware behavior, binary analysis, and exploit construction
- 2+ years leading or mentoring technical specialists
- Background running QA sampling, calibration sessions, and quality tracking
- Ability to read a user's likely goal from a short prompt and tell defensive or research intent from attack prep
- Clear written and verbal English communication
Terms in this role
- Red teaming.
- Testing a system, often an AI model, by deliberately trying to make it fail or misbehave, so problems are found and fixed first.
