What you'd do

• Build scalable backend systems that detect abuse and put AI and ML models into production.
• Architect APIs, data pipelines, and service architectures for real-time and batch moderation workflows.
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and observability, including SLIs, SLOs, and performance benchmarks.
• Work with ML engineers to turn research models into production systems across the product suite.
• Drive technical decisions and shape the safety roadmap for platform guardrails built for scale and precision.

What it asks for

• Hands-on work fighting free-tier abuse, fraud, or fake-account and bot farming at large scale.
• Six or more years building production backend systems at scale.
• Strong production backend experience with distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, and asynchronous Python.
• Infrastructure and DevOps proficiency with AWS or GCP, Docker or Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Prometheus or Grafana and building observable systems.
• Track record of taking systems from 0 to 1 with measurable impact, including working alongside ML systems in production.
• Background in trust and safety, content moderation, or integrity engineering (preferred).
