Data science work for a Trust & Safety team at a large short-video platform, using data to find insights, diagnose problems and build safety strategy. The team partners with operations, policy, product and engineering across regions to detect and reduce platform safety risks.

What you'd do

• Analyze big, messy datasets to back project delivery and longer-range planning
• Design and monitor core safety metrics and run root cause analysis on their drivers
• Build heuristics from data to proactively detect and disrupt safety incidents
• Develop metrics and visualization tools to assess platform risk and safety strategy impact
• Give stakeholders data-based recommendations and turn findings into stories that drive action
• Work closely with the global Trust and Safety team on the direction of safety work

What it asks for

• Five or more years doing data science, analytics or quantitative analysis work
• Hands-on experience with SQL, ETL, R or Python, Tableau and Excel
• Experience building data infrastructure and reporting solutions
• Experience designing ML/AI solutions for prediction, optimization or segmentation, with evaluation for error and bias
• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, economics, computer science, mathematics or engineering
• Experience on online content platforms, in Trust & Safety or in risk management (preferred)
• Experience working with international partners across time zones (preferred)
