About NCMEC Reporting
The project is a Ruby client library for the NCMEC CyberTipline reporting service. The gem aids in reporting incidents to NCMEC, an organization designed to promote a safer internet for children.
The page describes quarantining report information as an imperative step in reporting incidents. The page states that report and metadata XML must be stored indefinitely, and media must expire after a 90 day period. The page says the test NCMEC API endpoint can be used in development and staging.

How it works
A Ruby gem that wraps NCMEC's CyberTipline reporting API. It handles building the report XML, uploading the associated files, and finalizing the submission, so a Rails app can file a legally required report without hand rolling the protocol. It was written by Ello and is small and readable.
You still need your own NCMEC API credentials and a registered account as an electronic service provider. The gem is maintenance mode; check it against the current API version before relying on it.
