What you'd do

• Drive multi-team programs across Engineering, Legal, Payments Strategy, Product and Revenue, tracking timelines and blockers
• Lead complex fraud investigations, run root cause analyses and propose rule changes and cross-functional actions
• Write SQL against fraud and payments data and build Mode or Datadog dashboards and alerts
• Contribute to fraud risk assessments for new product launches and carry out mitigation plans
• Explain business impact to stakeholders before, during and after launches, adjusting detail to the audience
• Own fraud detection, payments operations and risk assessment in an assigned area, from strategy through post-launch measurement
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team knowledge sharing

What it asks for

• 4 to 5+ years in payments, fraud or risk operations with hands-on card network rules, chargeback and dispute experience
• Deep knowledge of payments flows, Visa, Mastercard and Amex rules, and chargeback processes
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets
• Prior work setting up fraud dashboards and alerts in Mode, Datadog or comparable BI tools
• Ability to own an end-to-end function and run mid-size programs with minimal oversight
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and senior audiences
• Prior experience coaching colleagues or acting as the go-to technical expert on a team (preferred)
