Mjolnir is described as a moderation tool for Matrix. It is built for communities that want to protect their rooms without using their personal accounts for moderation.
It can protect a server from malicious invites and spam messages. The bot by default includes support for bans, redactions, anti-spam, server ACLs. A Synapse module can apply the same rulesets the bot uses across an entire homeserver.

How it works
Mjolnir is the standard moderation bot for Matrix. You invite it to your rooms and point it at policy lists, which are themselves Matrix rooms containing ban rules for users, servers and rooms. When someone on a list joins or posts, Mjolnir bans, redacts or kicks. Lists can be shared and subscribed to across communities, so a well known bad actor list protects everyone who uses it.
It also does redaction of spam floods, server ACL management and reporting. Self hosted, and it needs a Synapse admin account to do the heavy lifting.
