How it works
minFraud scores a transaction or account event from IP, email, device, billing and shipping data against MaxMind's network of reports and its GeoIP data, returning a risk score and factors. It's been around since 2004, it's cheap per query, and it's often the first fraud signal a small merchant adds. GeoIP2 databases are a separate product for IP location and anonymizer detection.
