How it works

Lantern is the Tech Coalition's cross platform signal sharing program for child sexual exploitation. Participating companies upload signals (email addresses, usernames, hashes, URLs, keywords) tied to accounts they've enforced against for grooming, sextortion or CSAM distribution. Other participants query those signals against their own users and investigate matches. It's built on Meta's ThreatExchange infrastructure.

Signals are leads, not verdicts: each platform still reviews under its own policy. Participation requires Tech Coalition membership and a review of your practices.
