About Altitude

Altitude is a tool that gives online platforms a single elevated view of potential terrorist and violent extremist content on their sites. Altitude is publicly available and part of Tech Against Terrorism.

Platforms install Altitude instead of checking each individual source separately. Altitude is licensed under Apache 2.0.

How it works

Altitude is a free desktop application from Jigsaw (Google) for small platforms that need to handle terrorist and violent extremist content. It pulls in flagged content from Tech Against Terrorism and GIFCT, shows it in a review queue with context and the basis for the flag, lets a reviewer decide, and records the decision so you have an audit trail. It also hashes and matches against the GIFCT database if you have access.

You run it on your own machine or server. It's a reviewer's tool, not a platform integration, and it fills a gap: most small services had nothing between "ignore" and "build a system."
