The role, in T&S terms
Written by the T&S Network from Adobe's posting.
Adversarial testing of Adobe's externally facing products, APIs, customer journeys and fraud controls, to find how fraudsters and other bad actors could exploit them. The role sits in Global Consumer Trust and works with Fraud Prevention, Product, Engineering and Security to turn findings into stronger defenses and retest mitigations.
What you'd do
- Test Adobe's external products, services, APIs and fraud controls for ways bad actors could exploit them.
- Recreate real-world fraud and abuse attacks to map attack paths, find control gaps and show how defenses get circumvented.
- Build automated tools and scripts in Python or similar languages to simulate fraud and abuse at scale.
- Write test cases that probe sign-up, identity checks, billing, entitlement and API flows.
- Retest mitigations to confirm attack paths are closed and look for alternative ways around them.
- Write up attack techniques and results, and help standardize how the team tests adversarially.
What it asks for
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in computing or a close field, with eight years of industry work.
- Strong software engineering or automation skills, with proficiency in Python or a similar language.
- Working knowledge of web APIs, HTTP, login systems, web apps, test automation tools and cloud platforms.
- Must have Git, SQL and data analysis, debugging, and an understanding of product architecture.
- Useful: JavaScript, cloud services, browser automation, identity systems, CI/CD and security testing tools (preferred).
- Working knowledge of fraud, abuse, cybersecurity or digital risk, and analysis of logs and telemetry.
Worth knowing
- Adversarial testing must stay within established authorization and testing boundaries.
