Tremau is a Trust & Safety company that builds Nima, a content moderation platform for online platforms. Nima is built for compliance with the EU Digital Services Act and the UK Online Safety Act, with built-in features for user reporting, appeals, and customisable statements. It integrates with NCMEC for CSAM reporting and with the EU Transparency Database. Tremau also offers advisory services drawing on expertise in Trust & Safety, tech policy, and risk management.
Tremau launched in 2021. It was built by a team of technologists, policy experts, and serial startup founders. It has more than 30 people.
Tremau is named after engineer Charles Pierre Trémaux, creator of Trémaux's algorithm, a method for navigating mazes. It raised €3M in added funding from Auriga Cyber Ventures and G+D Ventures to keep building Nima.
