How it works
Yoti gives you three ways to check age. Facial age estimation looks at a selfie and returns an estimated age without identifying the person, and the image is deleted once the estimate is made. Document checks read a passport or driver's license and match it to a liveness selfie. The Yoti Digital ID app lets a user verify once and then share a verified "over 18" attribute with any site that accepts it, so they don't repeat the process everywhere.
You drop Yoti in through an SDK or a hosted web flow, pick which methods to offer, and set an age threshold. Yoti returns a pass or fail plus the method used, which is what you'll want on file if a regulator asks how you checked. The estimation model is audited for accuracy by age band and skin tone, and those reports are public.
