How it works
k-ID handles the part of youth safety most companies get wrong: figuring out what a given child is legally allowed to do in a given country, and getting the right consent for it. You tell k-ID what your app does (chat, purchases, UGC, ads), and it maps that against age and privacy laws in each jurisdiction, then serves the correct age gate, parental consent request, and default settings for that user.
Parents get a portal where they approve, review and change permissions across every k-ID enabled game their child plays, so consent isn't re-collected each time. It's built around games and youth apps, with SDKs for Unity and Unreal alongside web. The company keeps the legal mapping current, which is the real product; the age gate itself is the easy bit.
