How it works
Stripe Identity verifies a government ID and matches it to a selfie, with the same API style and dashboard as the rest of Stripe. You create a verification session, send the user through Stripe's hosted flow or embed it, and get a result by webhook. It also offers an ID number lookup for US SSN checks.
