How it works

iProov does face biometric verification with a patented liveness method: it flashes a sequence of colors on the screen and reads how they reflect off the face to confirm a real person is present in real time, which defends against replay, masks and injected deepfakes. It's used for onboarding (matching a face to an ID) and for returning user authentication.

It's UK based and used by governments (including the UK Home Office and Australia) as well as banks. It's a biometric component more than a full KYC suite.
