Onfido (now part of Entrust) verifies identity by checking a government ID for authenticity and matching it to a selfie with liveness detection, backed by its Atlas AI models. Workflow Studio lets you build multi step flows without code, and it adds data checks, watchlist screening and fraud signals like repeat device use.

It's one of the largest players, UK founded, with strong document coverage and a long list of regulated customers. Since the Entrust acquisition it sits inside a broader identity and security portfolio.
