How it works
Hive sells moderation as cloud APIs: visual moderation with dozens of classes (nudity, violence, drugs, hate symbols, minors), text moderation in many languages, audio moderation, OCR of text in images, AI generated content detection and CSAM detection (through a partnership with Thorn). Pricing is per item and published, and a moderation dashboard lets a team review flagged items.
It's one of the largest specialist vendors, used by Reddit, BeReal and many social apps, and its models are often the benchmark other vendors compare against.
