Hive AI-Generated Content Detection
Detection of AI-generated and deepfake images, video, speech and music.
About Hive AI-Generated Content Detection
Hive's AI-Generated and Deepfake Detection APIs help platforms identify synthetic images, video, and audio at scale. Trust and Safety teams use Hive to improve verification, reduce AI slop in feeds, and flag artificial or exploitative media for review or takedown.
Hive offers free detection tools that let users check suspicious media from direct uploads, URLs, and social content. Yubo, an online social space for youth, is a Hive customer, and Hive partnered with Yubo from its initial product launch four years ago. Plato, a social gaming community, selected Hive as its primary moderation solution and uses Hive to analyze profile pictures.

How it works
Hive's detection APIs score whether an image, video or audio clip is AI-generated and, where possible, name the model likely to have made it. Image and video detection covers edited media, profile photos and uploads, including deepfake photos tied to fake accounts. Audio detection flags AI-generated or cloned speech with segment-level scores, and separately scores music and vocals for AI generation.
Hive says it updates coverage as new generative engines appear and names the TAKE IT DOWN Act and the NO FAKES Act among the laws the product helps with. Free tools let anyone check media by upload, by URL, on X, or with a browser extension.
