How it works
hCaptcha is a CAPTCHA and bot detection service. The visible challenge is image labeling; the paid tiers add a passive mode where almost every real user is scored silently and never sees a puzzle. Enterprise adds risk scores, custom threat models and account defense features like takeover and multi accounting detection. The company positions itself on privacy: it doesn't use the data for ad targeting and offers a zero PII mode.
