About Kasada
Sam Crowther founded Kasada in 2015. The company is headquartered in Sydney with hubs in New York, Boston, Melbourne, and San Francisco.
The company describes online fraud and automated attacks as a source of significant revenue loss, compromised customer data, and reputational damage for fintech, banks, and financial services. Kasada Account Intelligence detects coordinated fraud and repeat abuse hiding across accounts, sessions, and devices. One use case the site describes is stopping credential stuffing at login and identifying compromised accounts when attacker behavior changes.

How it works
Kasada stops bots by interrogating the client. Every request has to run a piece of obfuscated JavaScript that changes constantly, then solve a proof of work whose difficulty rises for suspicious clients. Real browsers pass invisibly; automation frameworks and headless browsers either fail the checks or get slowed until the attack stops paying. There's no CAPTCHA and no score for you to threshold; Kasada decides.
It deploys at the edge or via integrations with CDNs and load balancers, and covers web, mobile and APIs. It's an enterprise product aimed at retailers, ticketing, gaming and any target of credential stuffing and scalping.
