The Federal Trade Commission begins enforcing the TAKE IT DOWN Act
In force now

Civil penalties run to 53,088 dollars per violation. The Commission wrote to major platforms on 11 May and opened a site for complaints about services that did not act.
Build: A reporting path, a 48 hour clock, and copy detection. This one has no size threshold at all.
Who it reaches
It reaches user-to-user, marketplace, messaging and 6 other service types with users in the US, at any size. Any website, app or service that provides a forum for user-generated content.
Lands on T&S Operations, Engineering, Policy & Standards and Legal & Regulatory.
