Ofcom publishes the register of categorised services and consults on their additional duties

Category 1, 2A and 2B are now named, on monthly UK user numbers and on features such as a content recommender system or the ability to forward content. The consultation covers fraudulent advertising, terms of service, complaints, user empowerment, identity verification, and news and journalistic content. Final statements are expected mid-2027 and the first transparency reports in summer 2027.
