New York's RAISE Act requires frontier AI incident reports within 72 hours from 2027
No date set
Signed on 19 Dec 2025 and amended on 27 Mar 2026 to sit closer to California's SB 53, the RAISE Act takes effect in 2027. Developers of models trained above 10^26 operations publish transparency reports, and those with over $500 million in revenue publish a safety framework. Safety incidents go to a new state office within 72 hours, or 24 hours when there is imminent risk of death or injury, with fines up to $1 million for a first violation and $3 million after.
