Luma AI builds unified multimodal AI systems that combine reasoning and generation within a single model architecture. Its Unified Intelligence platform powers Luma Agents, which plan and execute creative work across text, image, video, and audio. These agents serve teams at advertising agencies, global enterprises, and entertainment studios. Its models include Uni-1, the first model in the Unified Intelligence family.

Luma is based in Palo Alto, California. Its CEO is Amit Jain. Luma is backed by investors including HUMAIN, Andreessen Horowitz, AWS, AMD Ventures, and NVIDIA.

In 2025, Luma launched Ray3, described as a reasoning video model, followed by Ray3.14. Luma has also introduced a Ray3.2 model and API.
