About Indicator
Indicator is a publication that produces original reporting, in-depth investigations, and practical resources and tutorials on digital deception.
Indicator was founded by Alexios Mantzarlis and Craig Silverman, and it launched in May 2025. Before starting Indicator, Mantzarlis sent the newsletter Faked Up. Craig Silverman has spent more than 15 years researching and reporting on manipulation of the information environment.
Indicator offers a free weekly Briefing with news, research, and OSINT tools. Its paid membership includes a monthly workshop with live walkthroughs of investigations, tools, and techniques. Members also get OSINT Navigator, a database for searching thousands of open source intelligence tools.
