About IDnow
IDnow is an identity verification provider that sells identity, authentication, fraud protection and electronic signature services through its IDnow Trust Platform. The platform is built on four modular core services: Identify, Authenticate, Protect and Sign & Trust. Its Identify service verifies users with document checks, biometrics, eIDs and EUDI Wallet credentials. Its Understand solutions include age verification, driving license verification, AML screening and IBAN verification.
IDnow has offices in Munich, Berlin, Düsseldorf, London and Rennes. Armin Berghaus is a co-founder, and the company was formed in 2014. It is backed by a majority investment from Corsair Capital.
In 2014, IDnow launched VideoIdent, one of the first solutions for remote identity verification in compliance with German regulations. It later acquired identity Trust Management and Ariadnext.
