About Cyber Civil Rights Initiative
The Cyber Civil Rights Initiative works to combat online abuses that threaten civil rights and civil liberties, and describes itself as the leading US non-profit protecting people from image-based sexual abuse. It runs an image abuse helpline that has supported tens of thousands of victims and survivors, and produces model legislation, policy guidance, legal analysis and amicus briefs on online privacy and free expression. It grew out of a grassroots effort begun in 2012.
