Cequence is a security company that protects web, mobile, API, and agentic AI channels from attacks, business logic abuse, and fraud. Its products and services cover secure agentic AI enablement, bot defense, and API security. Its product lineup includes AI Gateway, Bot Management, WAAP, and API Security. WAAP combines the Cequence API Security and Bot Management products with DDoS and WAF protection in a single SaaS cloud tenant.

Ameya Talwalkar, the president, CEO, and co-founder, founded the company in 2014. Its leadership includes Shreyans Mehta as Chief Technology Officer and founder. Its leadership team has built teams across five countries. Cequence reports that it analyzes and protects more than 10 billion application interactions daily across financial services, retail, and telecom organizations.

Cequence started with an API bot management product, then expanded into API security and governance. Its platform can be deployed as SaaS, on-premises, or hybrid.
