Babelscape

Babelscape is a deep-tech startup company that focuses on multilingual Natural Language Processing (NLP). It also offers Comprehendo, an AI system that disambiguates and semantically tags text. Another product is Babelscape Vera, a virtual assistant for fact-checking.

Francesco Maria Tucci is its co-founder and CEO. Roberto Navigli, a full professor at Sapienza University of Rome, is a co-founder and its scientific director. Its customers and partners include Adobe, EUIPO, Oxford University Press and the University of Florida.

Babelscape is industrializing Minerva, a family of Italian large language models, for sectors such as public administration, healthcare, defense, culture and education. Minerva was developed by Sapienza NLP in collaboration with FAIR and CINECA.
